Jarrett Sachs, 2009
Junior forward Jarrett Sachs accomplished something that no one has ever done while playing hockey for North Branch High School. On December 6, 2008, Jarrett and the rest of the Vikings hockey team squared off against Meadow Creek Christian at the Chisago Lakes Arena.
During the first period of the game Jarrett recorded a hat trick. In the second period he scored another goal. That fourth goal would tie the school record of most goals in a game set by Alex Nelson (2006-07). There was still a period of hockey to play and Jarrett continued his amazing night, unbelievably notching two more goals before the game was over and setting a school record for goals scored in a single game.
He finished this memorable night with six goals (two of them were shorthanded) and surpassed another North Branch school record with the most points in a game with six. Jarrett eclipsed Nate Obitz’s (2005-06) prior record of five.
Congratulations Jarrett!
